The first Turkmenian communication satellite Türkmen Älem (Turkmenian Universe) has been launched from Cape Canaveral on 27 April 2015 at 23:03 UTC (at 04:03 of Turkmenian local time). It was been built by order of Turkmenistan by French company Thales Alenia Space and was been launched by Falcon 9 rocket of American company SpaceX. TMSat has began to provide communication services via this satellite from 01 October 2016.
